Living the Victory Way
I began as the new Principal at VLC at the beginning of the year and as I settle into my role, a goal of mine moving forward is to ensure that The Victory Way becomes a shared language across our entire community.
When students, parents and staff all recognise and celebrate the same values in action, whether it’s curiosity in the classroom, courage in a performance, or empathy in a peer interaction, we strengthen the culture that makes Victory so special. It’s this alignment that will continue to drive meaningful growth for our students, both academically and personally.

At Victory Lutheran College, our ‘Why’ is clear
To transform the lives of our people every day through learning and personal growth.
This transformation begins with a commitment to student-centred learning, where students are empowered to be active participants in their education and where every decision is made with the learner at the centre.
I see this in action every day. Our classrooms are places of curiosity and commitment, where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas and take ownership of their learning. This reflects our value to be INSPIRED through wisdom, commitment, and curiosity. Whether its Foundation students designing their own zoo, or Year 7s curating a Night at the Museum, students are given space to lead, create and reflect.

Our approach also challenges students to grow through perseverance and honesty. Teachers use assessment not just to measure, but to guide learning, identifying strengths and areas for growth and setting high expectations. This is what is looks like to be CHALLENGED and it’s visible in the way students respond to feedback, collaborate in group projects and tackle complex tasks with courage.
From leadership opportunities to feedback forums, students help shape their experience. This builds motivation, confidence and a sense of agency that lasts well beyond the classroom.

At Victory, student-centred learning isn’t a strategy, it’s a culture that we invest in. It’s how we live our values, honour our mission and ensure that every student is known, challenged, inspired, and empowered to grow.
