You may have noticed information for Walk My Way Melbourne popping up in our newsletter over the last couple of week. It is now time to register and start your fundraising!
Walk My Way is an ALWS initiative, and the very first Melbourne Walk will be held in conjunction with Luther College and LEVNT this October. The walking challenge encourages participants to walk 26 kms – a kilometre for each dollar it costs to send a child to school in East Africa for a year.
Walk My Way Melbourne will start and finish at Luther College, with the aim of raising $50,000 dollars to deliver education to children at Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya – including children with disabilities.
Put a team together, or set yourself a challenge! Register now for the 26km or 13km walk at melbourne.walkmyway.org.au!
We are also seeking volunteers to help out on the day. If this sounds like something you’d like to lend a hand with, please get in touch with Taya (LEVNT) by emailing taya@levnt.edu.au, or by phone at (03) 9236 1273.
