Target Audience: NCCD compliance officers, Learning Support Leaders, Principals.
This session will be an opportunity for LEVNT schools to moderate NCCD for complex cases within your school with a focus on providing support towards consistently with how the categories are applied across Lutheran schools.
The session will be a 2 hour online session hosted by Vicky Gemmell, Student Services Advisor from ISV. This will be an excellent opportunity to present de-identified cases where you would like advice on the appropriate level of adjustment category, we would recommend focusing on cases where you are focusing on substantial or extensive level of adjustment.
Please bring the following to the meeting:
- A de-identified student case study that they would like to share and discuss with the group
- A de-identified student ILP/IEP that support a student’s inclusion in the count (with a view to looking at information as to how the ILP addresses the functional impact of the student’s disability and the adjustments directed at the NCCD category under which the student is listed – physical, sensory, social/emotional, cognitive)
Please come prepared to share the following information:
- Information regarding their schools’ student data management – specific to students with disabilities
- Information regarding their schools’ consultation processes with parents/carers/associates – specific to students with disabilities
- Information regarding their schools’ processes in terms of teacher PL specific to the NCCD
