National Reconciliation Week Australia began on the 27th of May! This week, we invite you to reflect on our shared history and strive to create a better, more just Australia.
This week commemorates two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.
Bridging Now to Next calls on all Australians to step forward together, to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.
All over Australia, people are marking National Reconciliation Week 2025 with events based around the theme, Bridging Now to Next.
We encourage all of our schools to take part in this initiative and stand up against racism in Australia.
We would love to see any photos, videos, or events held in commemoration of Reconciliation Week. We encourage you to share your work on our closed Facebook page, Flourishing Together: Lutheran Educators Network.
A reminder that this is a fantastic space to post any events from our schools. ‘Flourishing Together’ is a place where Lutheran educators and staff from all over Australia can connect and learn from one another, share ideas and collaborate, and celebrate successes across our learning communities.
