LEVNT is thrilled to be strengthening our partnership with Inspire Citizens a global organisation dedicated to bringing the UNESCO Sustainability and Development Goal number 4 of Quality Education. They deliver high quality professional learning and school partnering to equip educators to ensure: “By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development”
The staff at Sunshine Christian School and Good News Lutheran College Mambourin had the opportunity to begin to become equipped in the Empathy to Impact Model. An actionable framework that overlays any inquiry or experiential pedagogical approach in a school to leverage learning to become anchored in the real world through meaningful community partnerships and action focused where learners become equipped to share their learning for positive impact in the world.
As with any curriculum planning tool teachers began by ensuring that clear learning goals were identified and a clear path for developing robust knowledge and durable skills established.
Teachers engaged in the planning had high energy, and exited the workshops with high quality learning plans ready to teach.
If you would like to get your school involved then sign up to the Empathy to Impact workshop being held in Melbourne on March 12-13.
