22 CS Leaders from across LEVNT gathered for a workshop on Friday May 22nd presented by the 3 Regional facilitators on the development of the new CS Curriculum. This is part of an LEA ‘CS Roadshow’ that was then presented at LESNW and LEQ. The first session discussed the place of Christian Studies within a Christian Education and the story of the CS Curriculum in LEA. Participants were given access to aspects of the new curriculum and invited to provide feedback and questions. They were led through a planning process to identify priorities and consider how to begin preparing their communities towards this transition. Thank you all who attended for their energy and passion for CS.
There has already been significant informal interest expressed by learning communities wanting to participate as pilot learning communities for the new Christian Studies Curriculum. At this stage, the selection criteria and application process are still being developed and finalised. Once the criteria is confirmed and applications officially open, all learning communities will be notified and provided with further information about how to apply.
Please keep sharing the regular email updates from the CS Writing Team. These are also available on the padlet - Christian Studies Curriculum Communications
