Some of our new principals share their background and what has brought them to the position they now serve in. They also address what drives them to deliver high quality educational experiences and outcomes to their students.
I am very pleased to join the LEVNT District. Together with my husband, Laith and daughter, Sage we have embarked on our adventure to Mildura. Our arrival was nothing less than memorable with consecutive temperatures of 45degrees + for days in a row! We will be sure to talk about those days for a long time to come.
Professionally, I am all about building a school based on relationships that places student learning at the centre of all that we do. I value each member of our community and thrive in a setting willing to think outside the box and find innovative and contemporary ways to support our students on their learning journey. I am passionate about Lutheran schools and love that we can live out our faith in all that we do. Personally, I love my family and value my family time. I also love to cycle and have already managed to find myself signed up with a team for a charity ride in April, ‘Murray to Moyne’! I’m looking forward to lots of fun and adventures ahead in our District.
Hello from Nhill. My family and I have been in Nhill for one month now and enjoying discovering our new community, including the Australian Pinball Museum. We have moved to Nhill after spending the last five years in South Australia where I served at Tatachilla Lutheran College, and prior to that served in the Northern Territory.
I am excited by the opportunity to serve Nhill Lutheran School and to be in a community where Christ’s love is evident as ‘Together We Grow.’
After an absence of 19 years, I returned to the LEVNT area, albeit for a brief one-year stint at Tarrington. This is my sixth Lutheran school in which I have served with previous experience at Hahndorf, Wagga, Portland, Lobethal and Tanunda (Portland and Lobethal both as Principal).
I am looking forward to serving at Tarrington and helping to build on the positive staff, parent and community relations that the school has, and the strong educational focus that it has. My interests are varied but two of note are singing (no pun intended – although that would be an interest of mine as well!) and my 5 1/2 grandchildren – both keeping me young and energised.
